For a time I was doubting my choice of the full slip. But now it really looks like I made the right decision.
Had I turned it down it may have been a bad decision comparable to Christian Bale turning down the
role of James Bond.

He probably wouldn't have been nolan's batman then though.. so i don't know about you, but i think he made the best choice for everyone (including himself) there.

You're probably right. But how about Jack Nicholson turning down Indiana Jones and Al Pacino turning down Hans Solo?
Honestly I think they were both doing well respectively and probably wouldn't have been good fits either. I'm sure Jack regrets passing on Indy, even though he was doing much more serious roles at the time.

I'm trying to imagine Al Pacino as a goofy cool kid wannabe Han in ANH now and it's making my brain hurt. Just can't picture it

So the fs is some holofoil galore? I dig it but still... I think the SL has been the best decision. Every time I see it I love it more and more <3

I wanna see that lush carpet again.
Ah, there it is!
The steel is better than the film it contains. The slip must've been done by the same printers that brought us Weet Ragnarok & co :oohyeah: :oohyeah: :oohyeah: :stop:
:LOL::LOL: What the hell... it's not even a carpet yo! Go get those eyes of yours (and taste, whilst you're at it :naughty:) tested a-sap :p

Still adore their first one :cigar:
Of course! Why wouldn't you? It's better!
Thanks for the side-by-side pics, they clearly show what I'm saying. Puts things into perspective.
Better art on the first, better finish on the slip AND on the steelbook. Their original blows their WW84 out of the water.

I bet if this was signature FAC embossing treatment, you'd be all over it like a rash and defend it till you're blue in the face :oohyeah: (same as you do their *predominantly pixelated Lenti's :naughty:). Just look at the very recent CA3 for example. Total :BS: Doctor Strange isn't much better either and I have that one in-hand. But because it's Manta and Weet using this method instead it's crap and overused... :stop::stop::stop::yawn::yawn::yawn:

P.S. The first WW FS has some cookie-cutter embossing, too fyi ;) So if you're saying you like that one you can't be hating on cookie-cutter quite as much as you are.

Not true. FAC does the best embossing (actually I'll say real embossing, not this cookie-cutter thing they try to pass off as embossing) bar none. The day they use this finish I'll criticize them just the same.
I know Manta used it, probably before Weet did, but it was a test and it failed. There's no need to keep on pretending it's better than actual embossing. It's probably cheaper and that's why it's still being used.

It's not crap because Manta and Weet are using this technique on their slips. It just is crap. Nobody is forcing Manta or Weet to use it. Manta and Weet are using it willingly, so yes, I will criticize them until I feel like it.
If I wasn't the only one maybe they would stop and actually use a worthy finish for what they're charging.

I don't have that one. I see it now, cool to know... they tried it, they should have stopped.
You don't even prefer this "embossing" to real embossing so why pretend you do? Let it be known to the world you would like to see Manta return to proper embossing. Come on, say it!
