I don't mind the cartoon art but there's something off about it. Like she's swinging.
Gals possibly the most beautiful woman in the world..... Use her real face[/QUOTE]

Now two things @Flloydo yes agree gal is beautiful but please please stop bragging about your Friday night adventures:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Basil:thumbs:

Good and bad news

Good because I like that artwork and didn't want to have to import it

Bad news because I did really like the artwork HMV originally had as a place holder

Still sucks no 4K :(

Phew, glad that this is taking official WW art rather than the quasi-cartoon rendition the US are going to have. Shall keep my order with HMV now.

The question is what's the finish going to be, matte or gloss? I bet it's the former, though I think the colours will pop it it's the latter.

I doubt even that art is finalized, unless there's no 3D in the French version.

There's no way Warner will leave the 3D logo off the top of the spine, assuming they leave it off as part of the title. There's no logic in that department. Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island and Man of Steel have the 3D text as part of the title on the spine and front, Batman v Superman has it on the front and Suicide Squad doesn't have it all as part of the title.

I still prefer the original HMV mock-up, it's much more heroic looking. Still, as long as it isn't the US comic art I'll be happy.

French one is actually the most fully loaded:-
"Wonder Woman Edition Spéciale Fnac Steelbook Blu-ray 3D + 2D + 4K. . . Le Blu-ray 3D du film Le Blu-ray 2D du film Le Blu-ray 4K du film" . . . with the 4K disc included in that package I'm thinking the missing "3D" logo on the mock-up is deliberate.

Our spine probably ending up like this below with the 3D logo hopefully only on the spine.
Persuaded to pre-order this today after seeing the artwork and let's just say if the artwork on the right had been confirmed I wouldn't have bothered.

Good point.

I think the one you've posted is quite likely. Warner tend to put a normal Blu-ray logo on the spine somewhere along with the 3D one.

Do HMV steelbooks typically have "3D" printed on the spine and/or cover?

More often than not Warner ones do in the UK, yes.

Originally you'd get the logo as part of the film's title on the front and the spine, ie: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Wrath of the Titans and Man of Steel without fail. Now it's a bit more random. In release order (I think)...

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies - logo on spine, removable sticker on front
The Legend of Tarzan - no logo as part of title
Batman v Superman - logo on front only as part of title
Suicide Squad - no logo as part of title
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - logo on front and spine
Kong: Skull Island - logo on front and spine

I've just listed some random ones but you get the idea. Warner seems to do what they want, there's no consistency (I'd rather any 3D.4K logo remained on the J-card only). So basically, we've no way of knowing if Wonder Woman will get it as part of the film's title. It will have it at the top of the spine though, they always do.

not a fan of the front cover.. to me the face just looks weird and not like gal
She's in "power" mode as on this original poster design . . . face not unlike that on other posters but with more make-up and the stuff they use to remove shine on the face, gaze less starey and all wrinkles, bags under the eyes etc. airbrushed out of existence . . .

Maybe should've been more natural like here? Then again, maybe not . . .

@virkia - thanks for your thoughts and images.. all are nice artworks but out of them all the first one just annoys me most for some reason and as you say it does look airbrushed far too much, the last image would have been a better fit in my opinion as it shows more of the face and looks more realistic (and I know its Gal right away). I just can't unsee my dislike for the first image, too much editing and too much of the face hidden. I would have liked some art to actually show Gal, not hide half her face (that does not even look like her) and even the back is more of a silhouette. I think I will most likely be going for another release over the HMV but at least the HMV is not that dodgy cartoon artwork that has been shown! :)
