Mine arrived today, nice steel, would have preferred a flat steel with spot gloss on Wonder Woman and the title (a full gloss finish would have been even better obviously) but it's still nice

Looking forward to Manta and HDZetas now

Had this in hand today. Was a little bit sick in my mouth :spitout::LOL:

Bring on the better versions. Looking forward to getting zetas and I hope manta don't disappoint with the art because I was really up for the art work used on this. But with a correct finish

Yeah I really like this one, looking forward to watching it. I also really liked HMV’s packaging.

However why can’t we have the choice of an iTunes digital code like they do in the states?!? UV sucks!

Here is my usual steel video incase anyone wants to see it before buying etc...

also They were definatley told not to deliver until the 9th of october, my parcel had this on it...

Thanks for the vid  Steel looks nice and I still really like this artwork. Interior and exterior are both awesome. Personally I still think a quality gloss finish would've made this far more desirable but that's just my opinion and I respect yours ;)

(P.S. You have Hdzeta to thank for your WEA BvS steel mate, not Blufans :))

  • Thanks

I don't think that Royal Mail withheld delivery for that. The postman usually marks the package with the first delivery attempt, in this case 9/10, you got a card to tell you that you needed to pick it up and then it's returned to the sorting office/pick up point. There was no markings on my parcel as it was successfully delivered on Monday, but I've seen this before on loads of different things that they've had to leave a card for.

I have seen this before, but the artwork on the website showed a flat front, but now the front is beveled after all. Is this something I could've expected, or is this a flaw on their communication of the actual look of the steelbook?

Unfortunately, it's pretty rare for the mock-ups to show any sign of embossing, although some sites (mainly Zavvi) do occasionally mention any special treatment to the steelbook in the description of the item. The best way to know for sure is to keep an eye on our threads here at HDN, as our members tend to be very good at finding out this info beforehand, plus we also sometimes receive insider info regarding that type of stuff. :)

The retailer would have instructions from the distributor on the delivery note or the packaging if a delivery date restriction applies

There is not always markings on parcels delivered when it has a delivery date restriction sometimes yes there will be but it's rare now as most are collected as a batch of parcels and a note would be attached if was not to be delivered by a certain date

Most times though to make sure delivery don't arrive before release date the retailer delay when collected by postal carriers/couriers as you can't be 100% the postal carrier would follow delivery date instructions

When you get a dispatch email from any retailer it don't always mean it's already been shipped and in transit that can be a few days later and even in some cases over a week later it's actually been collected by the postal carrier
