One would have hoped that HMV would have some kind of online retail outlet established by now - be it an eBay outlet store, or selling via PLAY.com or another online marketplace. I understand that HMV want to get people in their high street stores by enticing them in with exclusives, but they are also alienating a vast majority of their potential customers who are perhaps unable to visit the stores (be it disabled, working during opening hours, or live too far away from the nearest store after 2013's closures). HMV should really look into broadening their consumer base by selling online again, even if it is via a third party marketplace website!

Even if they were to sell via PLAY.com and add a small percentage to cover the selling fees, they would still hold the exclusive. Entertainment Store sell solely on PLAY.com, and FoxDirect have taken to selling directly via PLAY.com as well. Hell, even Zavvi sell via eBay, Amazon.co.uk, and PLAY.com! Why can't HMV?

Just come from my local hmv and was able to pre order a couple of copies, was told release date was December, so get down to hmv now

Sounds like they're just playing it safe. 6 months between Cinema release and retail seems a long time in this day and age. Almost all other films manage to do it in just two or three. I doubt that FOX / Marvel will wait until December just to get that little extra Christmas holiday hype. If this is released end of October, it'll still be a hot title to own for Xmas

December, WOW EEK! Did HMV mention price?

No price, just took a fiver deposit for each, was worried I had wasted journey as phoned them up at 9 to check when pre orders went live was told today, got to store and they didn't know anything about it  but after calling over a supervisor they found them in the system, so all is good

Movies generally now days release 4 months after there cinema release, im sure december is just a placeholder. Im also sure this will release around September time.

Just got my pre order in. Apparently it does come with 3d. £21.99 on the system at the moment

My pre order was £3 but my store always charge me that

my first time pre ordering maybe why they charged me a fiver each, are they good in getting hold of you when these pre orders arrive? as this my first non ebay bought hmv exclusive

They are not available before release date. My last 2 pre orders, I was not contacted by the store. Just turn up.

To be fair I've had a few that have cost £5 to pre order. They do ring you and if you have pre orderd and paid something they will keep it for you until you turn up

I'd be amazed if this wasn't matt, the other 6 films are inc HMV's exclusives. To be honest, this one isn't looking very good. Interested to see if any alternatives appear this time
