I'm sure this will be placeholder art, and the final product will be the same as the French one also announced yesterday. It says HMV exclusive (for UK) not a World Exclusive Artwork... :ohno:

From their website here:
HMV said:
You can pre-order the X-Men: Days Of Future Past 3D Bluray HMV Exclusive Steelbook from hmv stores across the UK now. Pre-order from store now before they run out...

So it does look like it will have the 3D version also.

Who is HMV kidding :hilarious:

Pre-order from store now before they run out...

If the film does $$$ well at the Box Office, it's a 10000+ Steelbook run for the UK

Preordered in Oxford. St. store, £21.99 and they confirmed 3D

Did they ask for a deposit? I might drop in and say I want 50 for a GB and can't say no on release day

Great. Another mad dash and mucho expense to try and get to an HMV before bloody scalpers clean them out again. I find it easier to get hold of Korean limited editions than HMV exclusives!

One would have hoped that HMV would have some kind of online retail outlet established by now - be it an eBay outlet store, or selling via PLAY.com or another online marketplace. I understand that HMV want to get people in their high street stores by enticing them in with exclusives, but they are also alienating a vast majority of their potential customers who are perhaps unable to visit the stores (be it disabled, working during opening hours, or live too far away from the nearest store after 2013's closures). HMV should really look into broadening their consumer base by selling online again, even if it is via a third party marketplace website!

Even if they were to sell via PLAY.com and add a small percentage to cover the selling fees, they would still hold the exclusive. Entertainment Store sell solely on PLAY.com, and FoxDirect have taken to selling directly via PLAY.com as well. Hell, even Zavvi sell via eBay, Amazon.co.uk, and PLAY.com! Why can't HMV?

and the fact that to get to a store involves a costly mission (parking/petrol or hours on a return train/bus journey :( )

SaberTooth told y'all back when wolverine was comin out that HMV were withholding their online store on purpose :movie:

….any undercover HMV staff wanna still come in here and tell us its “comin back as soon as possible” :giggle::ugh::squint:

Just placed a preorder at their Wimbledon branch.
Confirmed it was 3D but chap wasn't sure of the deposit, he was talking to his manager that it should be the full amount!! Thankful he got corrected to £5.

In the Reading store the guy said I could pay the full amount if I wanted, or just the £5 a copy - no surprises what I chose! :hilarious:
