I never understood why people get so upset when someone is selling something as limited as DoFP for such a markup. Just ignore it and move on with your life. No instead you use words like ""despicable" and "blood thirsty" words that hardly fit the crime. Oh the poor collector has to shell out a bit more for something that really isn't a necessity. Listen when you start to dabble in things like this sooner or later your going to find yourself at a crossroads. You either accept the fact that not all collectors are out to help eachother or you live your life as a uptight, grumpy collector mad at the next guy who won't sell you something for cost. Grow up and get over it.

Ditto.
His post was in regards to low print runs not how pretty the slip looks. I can see the Taiwan version being just as expensive as Kimchi version down the road based off of the low print run.
I'm well aware of that. However just because something has a low print run doesn't mean it'll automatically become sought after. A bad release with a low print run is unlikely to increase in value. A good release with a low print run on the other hand is more likely to.

People also need a reason for wanting it in the first place, and considering the only unique thing for the Taiwan release is the slip (which IMO, is not a good one) it doesn't necessary mean it will become valuable.

Supply & demand usually dictates that something in low supply & high demand becomes more valuable. If it's in low supply, but also low demand it's not going to become valuable - if my opinion is not the norm and a lot of people love the Taiwan slip and are willing to pay the extra £92 - £172 just for the piece of paper around a non-unique steelbook, then sure it'll become as valuable as the KimchiDVD one. If not, it won't.

Another reason it could be missing from most people's collections is they simply have no interest in it.

Considering the only difference between that and other Steelbook releases is the slip (which IMO, is not a good one) means it won't necessarily become valuable, unless of course my opinion on it is not the norm and it does happen to be in high demand then it could become valuable.

Collectors will also want to have their Kimchi collections complete and so will seek out all their titles......

That's very true, my particular post was referring to the TW release though in response to someone else :) edited my post to clarify that better.

The way of collecting steelbooks have changed a lot. There is a few "low" runs (slips) that's not "collectors friendly". Ex. Die Hard KOR, Avatar KOR ugly slips but so limited. So what? They're not for consumers eyes demand.... only a few cares. IMO If you ask me between Kimichi's vs TW..... bet my cash on Kimichi's.

Used EMS instead of K-packet to get it more quickly but my package is not shipped yet.(waiting for shipping). Tony replied me that EMS doesn't ships to my address (maybe they don't ships to USA P.O. Boxes). Changed to my physical address in hope for EMS service if not..... K-Packet, here we go again. :turtle:

EMS requires a signature and will not ship to PO Boxes for that reason. It has to be a physical address and someone has to be home or you will have to go to the Post Office and pick it up the next day.

EMS and K-packet both require a signature on delivery and need a physical address
K-packet is registered post with a tracking number and requires proof of delivery by a signature
In Rep of Ireland this is always done a signature is required with K-packet
If your postal service in your country with tracked registered post is not making sure of proof of delivery by getting a signature on delivery then they are not operating correctly

While they're supposed to, I often find the postal service in England doesn't bother getting signatures for K-Packet parcels.
When my last order from KimchiDVD turned up, it didn't require any signature and the tracking info for that order doesn't even show it as ever having been delivered.

Mine's still in customs at Chicago. Its so annoying. I skipped on getting a USA release because I was low on funds so this is the only copy of the movie I will have to watch. I want to watch it so bad!!
