If 'Rogue Cut' means we lose Kitty (Ellen Page ) then count me out entirely.

EDIT: Although, just read an interesting theory...

The scene where Wolverine stabs Kitty while flailing wildly causes Rogue to materialise from..... Somewhere. Rogue takes Kitty's power which kills Kitty, and Rogue takes over as the time travel, mind-melt jobber.
Well, Kitty ain't exactly a great character either. And on the annoying scale- Ellen Paige rates higher than Anna Paquin.;)

I'll stick to the regular cut thanks. Dont agree with them trying to re-sell the same film with footage that should have been in in the first place. Plus I much prefer the HMV design over this one where Wolverine is getting shafted by Magneto in much the same way Fox are trying to shaft everyone else
It's not added footage as much as different footage. The story will apparently be altered.

Why would Rogue...
be the one capable of sending wolverine back in time? I understand why kitty pride is able to do what she does, so why would Rogue be there? It's Rogue's ability to steal mutant powers and adopt mutant powers that would only make her relevant in the earlier timeline. Mystique can mimic appearances, but she cant mimic powers. That's why I assumed the Rogue cut wouldn't work, because she's too young to of been alive back in the late 60s and 70s.

AFAIK there's a scene where after Kitty gets impaled, Rogue is rescued from the Xavier mansion (being used as a mutant prison) so that she can take Kitty's powers and carry on keeping Wolverine in the past, thus saving the present. If Kitty dies, it doesn't matter as long as Wolverine is successful in stopping Mystique.

I hate it when they don't do a 3D of the extended editions. It's the same with Avatar - you can't ever own an "ultimate" version :(
It is because they go through the 3D conversion after they have locked the final cut. Why would they convert all the footage on the cutting room floor?

Well Wolverine is a short character in the comics, perhaps that's being conveyed in the artwork. I'm starting to like the idea of the Fugly steel awards with this as a candidate, got to assume this is TBC artwork (if you can call it artwork), yes?

I can't buy this with that artwork ,why didn't they just do a completely fresh take and put on rogue with the likes of quicksilver ,bishop ,colossus and warpath etc . Something different

Same here, Im gonna pass.
Prefer the HMV steel of the theatrical cut.
Will get amray of this unless there is a WWE SB or digipack etc from somewhere else.

Should send a link of this thread to fox PR dept and see what they make of it ,money talks in this world and if we're not representative of the steelbook buying public I don't know who is . Somebody somewhere at FOX was probably given a choice of artwork and this is what they decided on ..,,,,shame

Well then, there is no need to purchase this, what a disappointment this release is, this is one of the occasions I will go for the standard release.
