simple.... people are buying it
Yes very clever and witty spiderman. The subtext of my comment was clear to everyone on the forum... I don't like the steelbook (neither do most other people on the forum) so I am shocked that it has sold out so quickly after it went on preorder.

most other people on the forum... maybe the one who bought it are not part of the forum?
there are a few who mentioned that they didn't like it but still pre-ordered.

shocked because a "ugly" steelbook has sold out? there are worst things happening in the world to be shocked about

Its X-men Rouge Cut and the Artwork is the same except its red for the standard Blu-ray and that's available from all retailers even the French steelbook is the same as Zavvi UK exclusive
There are thousands of customers worldwide who order from Zavvi and they all aren't members of HDN
They should be :LOL::rofl:

It will still come back in stock before or after release date as some will cancel or have payment problems
At lot who don't like the artwork here at HDN have said they placed an order anyway they may cancel of course closer to release date

Remember as much as we like been members of HDN we are on a tiny amount of people who place orders with Zavvi
Do I like the Artwork No
I like others would have preferred something different
The Artwork is World Wide Artwork and is used on all releases Blu-ray and DVD and Steelbooks

Did I pre order it yes I did as I want the Blu-ray and as the standard version is the same artwork
I want the steelbook for my collection and more importantly I want the Blu-ray Disc
The Steelbook at the moment is actually cheaper than the standard version and since the Artwork is the same its cheaper to order the steelbook

Just because a lot of us don't like the Artwork be it here at HDN or any other Web Forum that's the Artwork and people have pre ordered it
Thousands of other customers don't even know about HDN and the other Web Forums

my 2 cents :

I love the movie
I want to see/own the rogue cut
It being released in a steelbook is a bonus, no matter how hideous it is.

Spider-Man vs Ultron! Wooooo!!!

I thought I'd have to wait for the Avengers 2 deleted scenes for this :D

I think it breaks down into three things:

1) Scalpers buying it because it's Marvel and they assume it'll make them money
2) People pre-ordering now so they can decide whether they actually want it later on
3) Zavvi's usual tricks - only making a certain number available for sale initially to create panic

The original reply though was in regards to 3D being included on extended editions, not extended editions in general. So no, TLOTR wouldn't count as it wasn't 3D in the first place.

thanks for that

wish people would read the whole post sometimes
