hey is it me or is there some gloss going on in the background? it looks like a reverse spot gloss - background has some sheen or gloss with the characters flat matte on top?

Looks okay, but these really should be no more than £9.99 IMO. Yet another cheap streaky paint finish.

I'm curious as to why studios are okay to pay extra for embossing but not for better high quality finishes. Seems a bit bizarre to me.

Yep makes little sense doing embossing on this given it now doesn't match the first films steelbook which itself is only a few months old

Mine arrived this morning. Very pleasantly surprised, really nice steel and a 100 times better than the first films' steel.

i more and more only look at the steels i could be interrested in, so no i don't remember it lol

i know the mock ups can be different unfortunately for me(mock ups are always more to my taste) like the back of kill bill 1 for instance

After the awful steel for X-Men I wasn't excited about this one but I have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised, it is a massive improvement on the previous entry which really needs to be redone along with First Class.
