Hi guys..so, you win a 5 million dollar jackpot (convert to your own currency if needs be!) and I wanna know what you'd do. Would you give any away? It's a lot of money but maybe in some people's eyes not quite enough to spread around. Let me know what you'd do with a 5 mil win!

I would give 10% to BC Children's Hospital. Another 10% to Cancer Research. Payoff my parents house and buy my sister a nice place of her own. And take the rest and buy me a nice place where where I like (probably SoCal or Miami :D) and then start thinking of a business or investment idea's to put the rest into. 5mil really isnt as much money as you might think these days but its obviously not nothing either. You would have financial freedom for sure for the rest of your life if you are smart about your money.

the first thing i would do is pay off my school.then I'm heading to the dealership and pick up a fully loaded Dodge Challenger for myself and a Charger for my mom.MY sister talks a lot of smack so she's getting a bike from Walmart to get to work.

Next i would buy a house and then invest the rest in some apartment buildings. Then i would sit on the rest of the money.

Move here lol

I think I'd buy a million dollar house, go on a $500,000 spending spree and secure the rest in term deposits lasting silly lengths (30 days etc) just to feel good everytime I saw that interest! $$$$$$$$$$$$

Build my dreamhouse with a hometheater, gym, swimmingpool, double garage with a De Tomaso Pantera GT5 and some kickass SUV. Buy silly amounts of movies, hitech and collectibles. Travel the world with my family and friends, watch a lot of live sport events like the olympic, soccer etc. Put my daughter through some fine education abroad and start some small business for myself. For charity work I would travel and set up school, nurserys, clinics etc. That´s about it!

5 mil is enough to quit my job, but not live a carefree life. I'd pay off the bills, move somewhere where I want to live, and then invest the rest.

Agreed. Would very much like to leave my family and future generations with something to make their lives a bit easier at the start then mine.

Times seem to be getting much harder and I worry the younger generations will not be afforded the same opportunities given to my generation.

First thing Im gonna do is to donate about 15%-20% to charities. Then I will help some important people that I met in my life. I will then pay off my bills, including my family's. Then I will buy my parents a house (around $200k is enough) and one for me (same amount as well). I will then buy myself a Lamborghini Aventador and a Nissan GT-R. Thats it. The rest will go towards investment.

I'd pay off my debts, buy a new house with a large pit inside and then convert the leftovers into dollar coins so I can run around like that old rich geezer duck in duck tales and swim in my money.

:scat:

Oh, and two chicks at the same time.

Pay off my house. Buy a Porsche, buy a boat. Travel the world. Buy some big property in a state that allows all types of firearms and buy a ton of different firearms.

Would spend every penny on myself.

Buy all the rare steelbooks that I can't afford to buy now and build a massive collection.

Then buy a big enough house to have an extra room just to display them all :D

I would go over my family members and friends with low to mediocre incomes, and set up a a college fund for each one of their children, and pay for their kids currently in college, so there won't be any student loans necessary. I'd look into their vehicles and replace the ones that are unsafe or generally in bad shape with something safer, and more fuel efficient.

Other than that, i'd probably donate a large chunk of cash to my church, to get the children's / youth department fixed up and running. Spend some of it on a home i'd like to build, and an "old car restoration" project. The rest will most likely end up in savings.
