Hey guys just a reminder if you're new or have forgotten-as has been posted by Staff for many years, studios reserve right to hold back some stock for special promotions such as this. It's been the case with other con exclusives and other event sales, and will be again.
My thoughts exactly @bevins2012 IMO zavvi are doing nothing wrong here. It looks like they have got about 20 or so copies of each. Nothing major in my books.
It's not so much the pic of 'out of stock' items for sale at the con, but more of a slap in the face for those who have received a damaged steelbook who were told 'sorry we can't replace it cos it's sold out' only to see a pile of them for sale on zavvis stall
I think it is a bit of a shame for people who preordered items months in advance and they arrived damaged and we are just told sorry it's sold out then they reappear??
Ah well nothing surprised me about Zavvi anymore.
It won't surprise me either if by Monday this 'exclusive' appears on their website for like £30.
I know they have said it will appear if any is left it's the price I mean.

You all might be surprised on how many diff reasons why it's
Smart to hold a certain amount back.
When securing licensing many times the request is to send them stock as example. I've seen forms where they request 10!
Not saying you have to hold back qty of everything u do but when Play went through all the layoffs our contact found rare steels all through the office.

Tho I do agree about the damage vs sold out sentiment if the title has more than 20 stock.

Btw where they ship from is not where the office is located. Warehouse probably sold out n this office qty
lol another 300 under the table and an 18-wheeler lorry parked just out back packed with more stock ready to replace the ones sold on the stall
come on, the event is what, 3 days long. if zavvi are there all day every day for the event, they are going to have a good amount of stock. i went to comicon last year and it was heaving, each day there will be a new crowd of thousands. its not like zavvi will sell out on day 1 and pack up and go home, or just sit at a bare stall... they will have enough stock there to keep their presence for the entire show.
in fact, somebody commented on their facebook page their stall was looking bare and zavvi said they were expecting a delivery. so, there you have it.
the steels are only £9.99 so they will sell loads.
So wait, are you saying everything on that list is being sold in the booths for £9.99?
Possibly. Keep in mind you have to pay £15 for the entrance fee. Unless you plan to make a day out of it, it's a great deal.
I doubt Fox and the Hound is £9.99 though.

I think you can see from the pictures that they have taken a few filler titles just to make the stall look presentable.
@levi Exactly they've got loads they just wanted to fob of real collectors with their embarrassing partial refunds when we received damaged items
There's that sense of entitlement again. Why is anyone here more deserving than someone who might attend this convention?

£80! Are they having a laugh? I think I'll take my chances in a couple of days time, thank you very much. Love the film and haven't seen it in ages and I would like to get hold of this, but not £80 worth of like...
