They did- the Harry Potter books and movies.
Not only was Rowling influenced by the movie- they got the writer of YSH to write and direct the first two.
IMO there's nothing more cheap n tacky than these young _insert name_. (indiana jones, macgyver, sherlock holmes, etc.) I mean ...

This one is good and, as I recall, Young Indy was good too (with River Phoenix in the lead, I think). I’ve never seen a MacGyver (young or old).
River Phoenix as young Indy in "Last Crusade". It was Sean Patrick Flannery in "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" TV series.
Ahh, so Emilio Estevez was playing a young Denzel Washington.
