The best thing to do is upload your photos to the post that you're making and then enter them as thumbnails instead of 'full size'. You don't have to waste any time editing and then your photos won't appear so large. If people want to see the larger version of your thumbnail photo, they can just click it and it'll open up in a new window.

Ye I was trying to upload as thumbnails but wouldn't accept them.
Lol just tried to upload another 8 images using thumbnails and just get the same message with all 8
"The following error occurred
The uploaded file is too large. "
Oh well I'll check back in next month maybe it's been fixed by then, picture quality & size is only going to get bigger and better so whatever restrictions are in place I guess will have to change at some point.
@tridon thx anyway mate but I can't even get the images up to edit them, it just won't except jpeg's of that size.

By the way is it U.S or Canadian?
It's available in both countries, but in Canada, it has the bilingual text on it. Go for the U.S. version. It's nice and clean.
