ZERO DARK THIRTY PRE-ORDER: what we think is fair.

We are getting a lot of emails as the pre-order date of Zero Dark Thirty (March 19) draws near.

For various personal reasons some of our customers have told us that they won’t able to access our store on March 19 and carry out the order.

Whatever your situation might be, we cannot secure any copies for anyone prior to the pre-order date. There’s no perfect way to do this, but we believe that this is the right thing to do for our customers worldwide.

Thank you.

Best regards
PLAIN ARCHIVE

Someone remind me do they send matching numbers for one click?

maching numbers until a single order interferes. ;) for example, the first 10 one-click sets can have the same numbers, but then an order for a "pet slip" comes in which will get 0011, so the next one-click will have 0011 but 0012 on the PET, and so on...
at least that was the way they did it with "the master" and "ISTD". :)

i got 0005 on all my ISTD, but i know (from pictures that were posted), that numbers started to mismatch at around 0007 or 0008.

Haha @rj531 I am excited that they are numbered in general, but I don't worry about low numbers or matching numbers. Not sure if one click is more dangerous than trying to add all separately to cart, lol. If I miss out fiddling with the 1 click I'll have to be institutionalized, LMAO.

True..Double edges sword for 1 click but since the qty is low..we have to use our super Ninja training for this.. it will be a carnage to get this beauty. I already switched shifts to be able to have a decent chance to get these beauties..

Nice! Yeah I told my wife last night I'd be unavailable at the ordering time. She said "Why". I said "ZDT". She said "Jessica Chastain?". She knows I am a HUGE fan of Jessica and this film. It will be madness on the comp for a few minutes for sure, lmao. I am honestly freaked out a bit about missing out on these because I am trying to get the 1 click, so I'll need to see what my strategy needs to be. :cigar:

She knows I like Jess for her chops (though she's cute too), so that helps, lol. Ok, before those folks subscribed to the thread send me nasty grams, let me hold my commentary. Maybe @ash333 wants to chime in instead, haha!

Alright I need some advice from fellow ninjas with experience preordering from Plain Archives/Nova or others: am I better off trying my luck at a one-click, or should I go for PET and full-slip? When people say these sell out within moments, is it literally seconds, or can I expect 3-4 minutes before they're all gone?

Also, has anyone here been unable to secure a copy of a previous release (1/4 slip Master, Guardian Nova, etc.) even if they logged on before preorder time?

If it's anything like Novamedia release, the entire run of 1500 was gone in under 2 min.

@bojee I don't think PA has had complete sell out of all copies of a release in mins yet. If I recall, ISTD PET slip went OOS in one night, pretty sure it wasn't mins, but hours. The wrestler stayed in stock for a long time. The master is still in stock. PA does not release superhero steels or any 'blockbusters' so that is why I think their releases don't sell out so quick.

This is PA's highest grossing steelbook (box office wise) if that means anything. The one click and 1/4 slip will be sold out the night it goes live. How fast? I'm not sure but I would say before the hour is up the one click and 1/4 slip will be gone. PET will follow next.

One clicks and 1/4 slips are usually the first to go, obvious reason are low print run and for PA, the 1/4 slips are always vastly superior than any 1/4 released.

All my opinion though, PA does not release those types of films that sell out in seconds (yet :p) like iron man or capt america.

Thanks for the info! I think I'll risk a one-click
