We respect our customers, and we feel your respect coming at our direction. Unfortunately, there’s a small number of individuals who doesn’t respect us back. We’ve received angry emails with profanity, and in some cases — threats.

:grumpy:

Anyone that did that should have their associated payment method/shipping address banned by PA, assuming they were foolish enough to use an e-mail linked to their past orders to do so. They'd get around it, sure, but making things even slightly inconvenient for them would be well deserved.

I do think that any orders where two copies were made should have one of them cancelled, being as probably 90% of them will end up on eBay or the forums for twice as much.
Hopefully there'll be another chance before release date.
I emailed them yesterday (I was very complimentary) just to enquire if there had been an issue or if it was just down to the demand. Had this back this morning.....

Wow! I always regarded Plain Archive's work as outstanding. And to know that there's 2 employees? Just an exceptional work with the care & effort they put on their exclusives plus great customer service. They are always helpful and accommodating with their emails. As with all limited items, collectors are bound to missed out. I was one of the ninjas who was vocally stoked for this release & could only get Paper Full Slips during live preorder. As much as I think there might have a glitch in the ordering, the fast sellout is a testament for the excellent work of Plain Archive in bringing us well conceptualized, trailblazing designs with their exclusives. Keep up the great work, PA. We are behind you, Juno & staff.

Oh my god, that is my order number, does that mean I get number one, I might just faint if that's the case!

Not sure if I should keep it sealed now :)

Congrats! It's still possible you may be #2 (taking into account domestic orders) but either way it's still awesome. I'm hoping mine makes it to the top 10 (I'm 5322).

Does that mean that if that person ordered 2 copies, then they get #001 and #002, or do they get #001 and a random number? The latter would be fairer to others!

Based on history I think it would mean that they would get sequential numbering. My bet is the first few orders were not for more than one thing (Quad & Tri pacs considered one item). In my mind to be fast enough to get number one you can't spend the time clicking the button to increase your order quantity from 1 to 2.

Thank you, and that is why I'm trying to keep my expectations low, I would rather be happy with getting a really low number than getting dissapointed by not getting number one :)

Actually, both the PET FULL SLIP and ¼ Slip were still available for 30 minutes according to my laptop.

Yeah, tried to complete my order for about 20 mins. I got past the 1st step once but not the 2nd. No luck this time..
Probably not that expensive a week or two after release... But I may be wrong.

my order was #5367, i'm also hoping for numbers <100. if not, i'm still extremely happy that i was able to order these beauties.

as for the PA statement: a class act. very thoughtful response, much respect to Juno and his team!

Whoever is sending those nasty emails to PA should really to grow the hell up. I know this is a loved Hobbie but dam it ain't that serious, Especially to a company that is ran by such a small group of people that still listen to the voices of collectors.

For me I don't understand why if the demand is there, why not increase supply....more happy collector's, less people falling out, more profit for the supplier, I have never been interested in a Steelbook because of how rare it is, what interest's me more is how it looks regardless of it's rariety...

I think that's always the delicate teeter totter that happens with steelbooks and "rarity".

On one hand, you don't want to produce too many, and then sit on 2,000 copies of unsold stock.

On the other hand, they are creating a unique collectors piece (with obviously a lot of work and thought in each design) and it's paying off for them, and as they grow, more people will become interested and want their films, causing less copies to be able to go around.

It's not like they took a WWA steelbook and slammed a slip on it, they've created something new and exciting for collectors through innovation, and people have noticed that.

Had they limited to 1 per collector, would there have been more to go around? Hard to say. But good for them, they've sold a huge run out (mostly) in a very short amount of time.

I see too many 50,000 unit runs in this hobby now and get a little sick to my stomach each time one happens - Kudos to PLAIN, Juno, and Hyunhu.
