Product Description
THEY WILL RISE TO SUCK THE BLOOD OF THE LIVING!

From the sleazy video nasty vaults comes a movie so stained with controversy and moral indignation that the very mention of its name sends shudders down the spines of the weak stomached and censorious Zombie Flesh Eaters. A gut-munching, shark wrestling, eye-gouging orgy of topless skin divers, mud-caked undead terror and Italian splatter from the dark imagination of horror genius Lucio Fulci (The Beyond, City of The Living Dead).

An abandoned boat in New York Harbour unleashes a deadly flesh crazed Zombie cargo... A Young American woman and a journalist investigate a tropical island where a deadly disease is making the dead walk... Soon, thoughts of getting to the bottom of the murderous curse will be forgotten, as Fulci s walking corpses overwhelm the living and reports come in that the Big Apple is swarming with the living dead...

After over thirty years, Zombie Flesh Eaters still has the power to shock and offend the unwilling... Check out this classic sadist video and revel in a wonderfully tasteless movie that once helped usher in a moral panic!

I dunno,

This was my email and the response I got, names have been removed to protect the innocent. :D

Hello,
I am writing to find out if this product, Zombie Flesh Eaters Steelbook, is completely sold out. At Amazon UK it says the item is under review and I know I saw a disk replacement letter circulating.
Do you happen to know if this will become available for sale again through Amazon and if so will it still contain the booklet and mini poster.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Hi Mike
I’m afraid we have now sold out of the above now and will not be replicating any more. Sorry for any disappointment.
ARROW FILMS

Again maybe the CS rep misunderstood me

This is what amazon UK told me

I've checked on the specific "Zombie Flesh Eaters [Blu-ray] [1979]" you asked
about, which is listed on our website with the ASIN number B008RLY938.

This item is currently under review because a customer recently told us that
there was a problem with the item. We're working to resolve this as quickly as
possible. The item won't be available to buy directly from Amazon.co.uk until
we've finished our investigation but in the meantime you may still find that
it's available from third-party sellers. This is to ensure that the our customer
will receive the correct item.

again your guess is as good as mine. I am just being impatient, because thats who I am, ask Mehdi. Patience is a Virtue, it just isn't one of mine

I know to some people it's a big deal but for me personally I will live with it. I have never seen the film before so I don't think I'm going to miss the 6 seconds!:p

It's a big deal to me.... I want my movies as they were intended to be! Steelbook or not

I know that, it is a big deal to collectors and it would normally be a big deal to me! As i havent seen this before though and the fact that I'm going to keep the steelbook sealed means I will keep the disc. This shouldn't happen though, they should get the discs right in the first place before issuing them.

Agree completely mate

It would appear that amazon agree also, as it's probably the reason they've suspended sales of it until the issue is resolved.

It should be freepost. Having to pay is unfair. At what point did they realise the problem and just release it anyway. And how the hell did they cut off the beginning of the shot anyway? Makes me wonder if they've done things like this before and maybe nobody's noticed.
I'm feeling a little paranoid now:D

I finally got round to watching this last night. Decent transfer, lovely steel, but the film is teribad IMO. I normally like video nasties,
but all the women just stand there waiting to be eaten

I think I'll save £1 odd and keep the current disc. I agree it should be free post though.

Is anyone actually returning the disc for a new one? I'm currently embroiled in an argument with one of their CSRs as to who should pay for my shipping. I'm not sure what my endgame is, though, as I got this through a GB and, thus don't even have a receipt. :hilarious: I guess I just want them to know that I think this is bull$hit. Here's some of the conversation:

CSR
I’m afraid we will not be reimbursing shipping costs.

Me
I have to say, I'm disappointed to hear that. That doesn't seem like the proper, or ethical, course of action. You sent out a faulty product. You should take responsibility for it. To send a product out, promising one thing, but delivering another, and then telling those who purchased said product that if they want the actual product they had originally paid for, they'll have to pay even more, seems criminal. There must be a way around this. I'm not paying more for an item I've already paid for. I think its really unfair to ask this of your customers.

CSR
I’m sorry that you are not happy with the way that we are dealing with the replacement discs. I’m afraid we cannot make exceptions or deal with the replacement discs programme any other way. We have given the matter much consideration and have felt that this is the fairest way, although of course it is not satisfactory to some customers. Many companies in this industry deal with this sort of situation in a similar manner and even have time limits in some cases.

Fairest? To whom? Anyway, you guys have more experience that me. Is her last statement true? Is this pretty standard? Am I making a big deal out of nothing? The last one I remember being similar to this is Cabin in the Woods, and, if I recall, they just sent out new discs, right? You didn't have mail the faulty disc back to them. Am I remembering that right?
