Blu-ray Disc Writers Coming Down in Prices: Pioneer Releases the BDR-2203

Blu-ray disc writers have dropped in price drastically in the past year. The latest is Pioneer with the BDR-2203, with a price tag of $249.99. The Blu ray writer can write 25 GB of data to a single-layer Blu ray disc in 15 minutes according to Pioneer. It can also handle double-layer discs at 8x speeds. Additionally, The BDR-2203 can also write to DVD and CD and comes with software for authoring Blu-ray discs.

I can't wait till they're as main stream and cheap as dvd/cd-r's. Time to upgrade my laptop and cpu then. LOL It'll be helpful in backing up my media.
