Avatar Coming to Blu-ray April 22nd, According to Director

According to an interview to James Cameron posted at The Wall Street Journal today (2/17/10), the director reveals the possible date for the blockbuster film Avatar in Blu-ray and DVD as well as a hint at the possible time frame for the 3D version. Cameron goes on to say “We’ll do the Blu-ray and the standard def DVD April 22nd, that’s our plan as of right now, and that’ll be pretty much bare bones. And then we’ll do a value-added DVD and a 3-D Blu-ray in I think November sometime.”

20th Century Fox hasn’t confirmed the release date so for now take this with a grain of salt until the studio officially send the press release!

Here’s the link for the interview.
