Anchor Bay Entertainment has announced “The Evil Dead” for Blu-ray release on August 31st. This release will feature 2 new HD transfers in 1.85:1 and the original director-composed 1.33:1. Previous DVD features will be making a comeback and for this release a new audio commentary has been added. This title has been personally supervised by Sam Raimi himself.
