After many delays Hot Toys finally released the much anticipated Bane from The Dark Knight Rises line. The 1/6 scale figure is priced at $194 and it is packed with a decent amount of accessories.

For starters the figure has an incredible amount of detail from the headsculpt right down to the armor and clothing, it’s really a nice piece. The armor itself looks extremely well built and the detailing is amazing. The armor really compares to the onscreen counterpart. I did find the armor to be a bit difficult to remove though. The pants and boots look very accurate. Bane does come with 2 gauntlets for each hand. I found the gauntlets to be nicely made, but the Velcro to hold the securing belts was rather small and ineffective. I spent some time trying to secure the gauntlets properly.

Inside the box, Bane includes 7 different hand pieces (including the ones already equipped on the figure), there is a broken cowl piece, black shirt, a coat, and a stand. The coat is the winner here, it is very detailed and impeccable. A bit difficult to put on at first, but once you get the hang of it, should be easy to put on.(It was a bit difficult to put on at first, but once you get the hang of it, should be easy to do.) The sleeves were somewhat narrow so fitting the hands with the gauntlets was difficult, but once on the figure looked amazing and imposing. The broken cowl was a nice addition for those looking to create nice dioramas out there.

Now here’s what has been creating some complaints on the net lately, the headsculpt. Personally, it looks fantastic and Hot Toys really captured the likeness perfectly. Some say the head was too skinny, I found it perfect, but that’s just me. The mask is intimidating and highly detailed. I even truly appreciated the way Hot Toys featured the veins in his head. This headsculpt is fantastic, period.

My only reasonable complaint here is the body was not muscular enough. The body used looked good, but I felt that overall it looked small. Once the jacket is on, then he looks bigger and menacing. Other than that, Bane looks fantastic.

This figure was definitely worth the wait. You can still get a hold of one if you do some searching on the Internet and if you are on the fence I’d suggest you decide quick because I am willing to bet these will go out in the coming months.
