Today at the San Diego Comic-Con International, both Marvel Studios and Joss Whedon surprised the massive crowd within Hall H with the announcement of the official title for the second THE AVENGERS film. AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will feature the superhero ensemble battling the evil A.I. robot Ultron as well as introducing new characters such as Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch.
The film is set to star the returning Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson. Whedon is back on board as writer/director.
AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON opens in theaters May 1st, 2015.
