Marvel Officially Announces Charlie Cox as Daredevil

Charlie Cox

Charlie Cox is Marvel’s DAREDEVIL.

It’s official: Marvel Studios has found their new Man Without Fear. Charlie Cox (STARDUST, BOARDWALK EMPIRE) will be headlining the new DAREDEVIL series on Netflix when it airs in 2015.

Marvel’s press release stated:

Cox will play Matt Murdock, the lead role in this all-new Marvel Television series. Blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

It’s currently unknown which side-characters will appear alongside Daredevil in the new series, but as stated before, DAREDEVIL will be followed by series for LUKE CAGE, IRON FIST and JESSICA JONES and will lead up to all of the heroes coming together in THE DEFENDERS. Marvel also revealed that their upcoming Netflix series will take place in the same universe as their films and the AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. television series on ABC.

So, what’s your opinion? Will Cox do justice to the blind hero of Hell’s Kitchen?
