I guess Universal Pictures decided to jump the gun on their original release date of this Thursday because less than an hour ago, the official trailer for JURASSIC WORLD went live. Probably for the best as nothing stays secret these days.

The fourth installment of the JURASSIC PARK franchise finds us in the present day where John Hammond’s dreams of a dinosaur-themed park have finally come to fruition. Bryce Dallas Howard’s character of Claire has helped to create a new hybrid of dinosaur — by the looks of it, half-raptor, half-T-Rex — that escapes and causes havoc in the park. Chris Pratt’s Owen comes in as the hunter figure and targets the new beast in an attempt to save the lives of thousands.

JURASSIC WORLD is directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Pratt, Howard, Judy Greer, Jake Johnson, Vincent D’Onofrio and Irrfan Khan. It hits theaters on June 12, 2015.
