STAR TREK actor Anton Yelchin dead at 27

Anton Yelchin passed away this morning at the age of 27 after a freak car accident. A star on the rise after a successful year with the critically-acclaimed GREEN ROOM, Yelchin is best known for his work as Chekhov in the rebooted STAR TREK film series as well as roles in ALPHA DOG, TERMINATOR SALVATION, ODD THOMAS, and the FRIGHT NIGHT remake.

Reports are saying that the actor was late to meet friends for a rehearsal, so they went to his home to check on him. He was tragically found pinned between his car and a brick mailbox alongside his fence. It’s not yet known what exactly happened, but his car was apparently in neutral and his driveway was on a downgrade. Nevertheless, the news is absolutely devastating.

Yelchin can next be seen in STAR TREK BEYOND on July 22nd.
