Looking at mine, I think it's the same. That's the problem with so many steelbooks nowadays. All the latest Disney steelbooks have misaligned embossing too. I'm not going to return it for that though.

It's not just a problem with steelbooks today. Many of the Iron Man FS are misaligned, the image goes too high into the top embossed border and the letters are slightly off

I had the same reply from Zavvi but I realised I had not mentioned the zavvi "Pre-Order Price Promise", so I wrote to them again mentioning that the promise states that if any pre order item drops in price before release it should be charged at the lower price.

Zavvi replied today that they would refund me the difference. So maybe persistence is required or mentioning it's a pre-order steelbook helps.

If Zavvi sent that steelbook in a jiffy bag it must be a big error in their packing, I'd seek a replacement or refund.

Looks like a very nice steelbook guys, one of zavvi's best for a while now looking at your photos. I will have to wait till next week for mine, I've got other deliveries to keep me busy till then.

Me too, but when I mentioned the pre order price promise, the same person who previously told me £19.99 was correct and there was nothing I could do, replied to say they would refund me the £5.

It seems you might have to mention the price promise to get the difference back, otherwise they won't give it to you.

That custom steelbook looks fantastic!
I do like the zavvi steelbook but the colours on your one look much richer. Also much prefer the sandworm design on the back. Really great job on that one.

Well it's glossy, so getting excited on it is fine, it wipes right off.

So this is the miniscule ding on my copy, its not too noticible, but its always a pain to find under a j-card.

Zavvi were nice enough to refund £3 off my order as they couldn't give a replacement.
Decided to put that towards Jackie Brown as a treat since its down to £7.99 :D

I still like mine better :)

I think the official design is awful, really glad i missed it, although GUTTED i missed the V for Vendetta one, that looks a beauty!

Your Back Artwork yes is better but Front Artwork is better on Zavvi release
In my opinion though the over use of purple just looks wrong its lacking some different colour contrast

But well done on making your own steelbook

mine was waiting for me when i got back into work this morning. bit dispointed with it imo. Should of been a bit brighter and the pic quality is a bit poor. Might try and move this on which is a shame as love this film

that acid green title with purple background looks really nice on both front & spine and the front artwork looks ok in hands, but that back... damn... printing crappy low res images on a glossy steelbook should be a punishable offence!

this to me is a perfect example of how gloss doesnt make a steelbook. regardless if it is glossed or not, the art just isnt strong enough on this release.

classic film and essential in a steelbook collection, but the art isnt really that great and the gloss doesnt add anything what so ever.

on the back it says one of the features is a 'cd soundtrack sampler' of the films score. pleasant surprise, i thought. but when i opened the package- no cd.

i suppose the sountrack is on the bluray disc. i think its misleading to describe as a soundtrack cd.

They might have just re-used the old spec sheet. IIR, the first release (in the US, anyway) included a CD sampler. Subsequent re-issues dropped the bonus disc.
