I would love to go in all honesty.
Brazil is definitely one of the countries that I have always wanted to visit and the buzz around the place will be fantastic.
The only problem for me being a Newcastle fan and Geordie is that I have absolutely no affiliation or pride in the national team whatsoever.
Hodgson is doing his best to bring that back as I have a lot of time for him. Honestly if Redknapp had have got the job at the time that would have been it for me.
The reason I feel ostracised if you like from the national team is that it is all far too London centric and I can't stand the majority of the squad. There's no pride there at all. When I was growing up England had Tony Adams, Terry Butcher, Alan Shearer, Stuart Pearce, Gazza and several others who you felt would give their all for England whereas I don't feel that now. Beckham was the last player I felt that pride with and you could see how much it meant to him.
I am utterly sick of seeing excuses made for the likes of Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard etc and how they can't handle any form of criticism or how the media wouldn't dare say anything negative about "Wazza", "Stevie G" or "Frank." Ashley Cole has been England's only real world class performer at international level over the past decade and he is sadly a monumental **** which says it all.
