Just visiting from the "American Psycho" thread because of comments made there that not all copies of this have a laser etched number . . .
It seems that numbering steelbooks in this way can be problematic and "Metropolis" (2015 re-release) had a problem too, though of a different kind - in that example, the numbering on some was over the stated numbered print run of 4,000 !
As far as I'm aware the only other number etched steelbook "World War Z" has had no problems unlike the aforementioned two.
Anyway, whoever was responsible for both cock-ups it surely WASN'T the retailers !!!

BTW this is still available for GBP 9.99 but with NO mention in the listing of a laser etched number so your guess is as good as mine as to whether theses steelbooks have a number or not anymore

I have ordered mine 2 or 3 weeks ago and it had the number 2654. I would guess that the steelbooks without numbers are from a test run.
