The Wrestler and now Foxcatcher. Sounds like PA has a hard-on for wrestling!

Their choice of titles seems odd to me.

It's obvious that their MO is not to release the usual generic titles that we see everywhere, and I applaud them for it.

I buy everything from the plain exklusive lone so this one to.
The movie is very good acted but very slow paced so i think not for everyone.

Thank you!! Caught this over the Weekend; and other than your reference in your post, I hadn't heard a single critic or reviewer call the film slow paced- Started doubting myself when I classed the film in that bracket!!!

Personally, I (unfortunately) didn't like the movie- I was looking forward to it after hearing great things, but ultimately it was far too dull and lacking in incident for my liking.

On a similar tip, I think it could quite possibly be the 'quietest' film I've ever seen (in terms of lack of soundtrack bar one or two scenes that had a track to complement what was happening on screen, and scenes were there is little to no dialogue)

On a positive note, all three leading actors were great, and was refreshing to see Steve Carrell in a serious role and pull it off with such aplomb.

Ok so I saw this film last week, it's absolutely brilliant. Even better than the Wrestler I would say. A strong 9/10. Steve Carell's performance is something else. After seeing it I hoped to myself that PA would do it but I thought with it being too mainstream they probably wouldn't. I suppose it's a film similar in stature to ZDT. Needless to say I am delighted with this news.

If they had to pick a Cannes darling from 2014 I wish it had been A Girl at My Door - selfish pick all the same! Still I haven't actually seen this yet but Plain's choices have been well suited to my tastes so I'm going to check it out soon.
