Got an update from PA

They offered 2 solutions

1. 15% of the product price back on a gift card
2. Replacement case - but when mine is sent back to them. Also they don't have best condition steels left so they sent me photos of the best one they have left. From what I can see there's no marks or scratches but the back debossing is still misaligned but it don't look as bad as mine.

So I've asked for the replacement but I find it so odd they will pay to send the replacement out and then refund me the postage of sending my damaged one back. I don't mind that at all but I've asked That they send the replacement first so I know it arrives safely and then I send my original back

I like the movie enough that I forked out the dosh to buy this, but at the same time I'm not sure how marketable something like this is in the long run. I mean, to be perfectly honest, this isn't a movie I'm going to rewatch constantly or regularly (and I think this applies to many other people including fans as well). In the end I'd love to have something of this quality for a movie I'd enjoy more often, but I also don't see anyone putting out something of this standard for a more "regular" movie either.

Fair enough mate. I can re-watch movies like Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile etc. for some reason I don't see this in the same league. Great pics btw.

Was tempted to get this for a bit but decided the film itself was not something I would gravitate to so passed. Seeing all the pics have swayed me none. After initially supporting PA in the beginning, I have had this prolonged lack of interest in their releases since I tend to be more mainstream in terms of movies I watch / collect. They seem to have done well with this though in terms of sales

Spoke to PA again and the one they have to offer me does have a chip but it's in much better condition than my current steel

Seems like they were well aware some have defects due to the comment they made to me with not having any left in great condition

mine had a paint chip, small one but i can live with it, a marker correction and there you go!

That's exactly what I was going to do with the new one they are offering me as its only one chip.

I can't even do that to my current one because it's those scrapes and scratches all over it

Besides the patch on full slip A, B is the winner to me. The cut-out is such a neat idea and puts B ahead of A (which is still a great edition, of course). My only little gripe is with the Plain Archive sticker: I hoped the yellow would match that of the "stitching". But that's only a minor offense in an otherwise amazing release.

Received my Type B too and absolutely love it! Only complaint I have is the misaligned debossing on the back, but I can live with that. Superb work once again PA.
