For this very special release, Anchor Bay went back to the vaults to present this legendary terror classic as never before, including creating an all-new HD transfer personally supervised by the film's original cinematographer, Academy-Award® nominee Dean Cundey (Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Apollo 13, the Back to the Future trilogy), a new 7.1 audio mix (as well as the original mono audio), a brand-new feature length audio commentary by writer/director John Carpenter and star Jamie Lee Curtis, an all-new bonus feature with Ms. Curtis, as well as selected legacy bonus features from previous ABE releases. Available in a collectible limited-edition steelbook package.

I watched this when I was 12, it was the school holidays and I was driving my mum crazy with my brother so she took us to the local video store and I picked this out as I liked the creepy pumpkin design on the front. We watched it that afternoon and it scared the **** out of us! My mum didnt really mind what we watched and had no problem renting 18 certificate movies for her 12 and 11 year old sons :hilarious:

I've loved it ever since (partly out of respect) and love watching it around Halloween time

Was it not part II that had the pumpkin design on the front??

They just don't make original creative designs like that anymore. How could I forget that iconic image??!!

Imagine that design embossed on the Steelbook?! (Along with the title)

Awesome! Yeah I wish Zavvi never got all the exclusives... This is a reasonable price for a re-master too! Will go great next to The Thing steelbook (the side is the best part of that steel!) and the Big Trouble In Little China steelbook whenever that comes out :)

I wish they'd release it a bit earlier, so I can actually get it by Halloween in the US...but either way, I am very excited.

Maybe my Digi

can keep me company until I get my Steel. A little nervous about the price and what that could mean for what it will look like. I so wish the knife was embossed-or title debossed. Not trying to sound morbid, but it just seems fitting!:scat:
