I thinks this looks rather good. Yes, glossy would have been cool. And the hefty price for a catalogue steelbook title suggested it might have had a better finish.

But I love the movie. Will probably drop in price fairly soon though.....

If finished in gloss with the front and back artwork switched making the front like one of those glossy postcards you can buy in any resort then this could have been a steelbook worthy of the film.
One that has lways been my preference for the front:-

Bit of a disappointment isnt it
Might wait until its around the £5 mark and bite, purely for the title-less front (then again, the German finish seems superior so I may just stick with that and deal with the foreign title text on the front)

Ralph Fiennes is very funny in this, I don't think he's ever given a bad performance in his life. In this he reminds me a bit of Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast. Another legendary performance.

Steelbook looks ok yes it could have been better but if I had of had not been low on funds I would have kept my pre order
I will get this in a few weeks/months hopefully a price drop by then

me too, just opened my own copy. sure, it's matt without spot or 'bossing, but i do quite like the overall picture postcard treatment of the steel, i didn't own it on blu-ray before, and it's a brilliant film (in fact, i'd go as far as to say i think it's a ******* fairytale). win-win-win! :woot:
