It looks like this is the version to get. It shows that it pays to be a little patient and not just grab the first Steelbook to be released. The FS and Target editions were underwhelming and the Japanese version is just a little too expensive.

As for the new webstore, hopefully the service will be similar to Kimchi in terms of pricing, packaging and customs friendliness. It's always exciting but also a little worrying when a new player enters the market as we don't know what to expect. I guess the major positive is that the website should function better than Kimchi's poorly designed site.

The question though is what does the future hold for Kimchi in terms of Steelbooks? It looks like Nova Media have decided to cut Kimchi out and go it alone. I'm surprised at the reaction here, considering the love for Kimchi on this forum. I thought there would be more a few more supportive comments, but it seems that no one is really bothered. I guess it just shows how fickle most Steelbook collectors are.

Lol always lovin to stir up some reaction ey snooloui, why would it affect kimchi the odd cancellation will not affect them going forward and continuing their run of quality steels and as for the collectors like you already said its exciting to have another player in the game!
A little competition will do the steelbook world good!

The obvious reason why it would effect Kimchi is because most of the titles announced for this new webstore would probably have been Kimchi exclusives. Aside from that obvious loss of revenue, it may also encourage other distributors to try similar things. Steelbooks are a big draw for Kimchi, so of course it has a big effect on their business.

As for 'always lovin to stir up some reaction', well I just share my opinion. Not everyone on this forum has an agenda.

I'm with you on this and hoping the pricing will be a tad cheaper than Kimchi...Cutting out the middleman and all that.

Maybe Kimchi decided not to carry Nova Media exclusives? Just putting to question out there...I for one will continue to support Kimchi with my custom and yeah, collectors are a fickle bunch sometimes...Tarting around for the best/exclusive deals EEK!

Full Glossy / Title Embossed with a Full Slip

sounds pretty nice to me ;)

The flame is flickering out on my JP pre-order.

Now I don't feel too bad for missing the JP pre-order. I just watched this movie for the first time Tuesday and it was awesome, I loved Ben Foster in it the most. I have the target steel..will probably sell it to and replace it with this one.

Looks great Teddy!

The only thing I would say is that I prefer the inside artwork on the Japan steel to this. But I will still be going for this that's for sure....:woot:
