Yeah, totally agree.

Hadn't seen this in years and recently picked up the newly remastered anniversary edition. I popped it in one night just before I went to bed to see what the film looked like and I ended getting caught up in it all over again!! Had to force myself to turn it off!! Definitely as powerful today as it was upon release.

Anyway, we'd better get back on topic. I wonder why the delay is so long with seeing this one? Hopefully it's worth the wait.

Goodfellas, Casino, Carlitos Way, Donnie Brasco, Scarface, The Godfather Trilogy, Inglorious Basterds, Pulp Fiction, Gangster No.1, Schindlers List ... I can watch them any day any time of the week and I won't get bored of them. Just find them really good. So many layers in the story / acting. Plenty of repeat watch value.

Anyway back on topic ... losing my patience with this release and a few others. Vendors shouldn't tease us so many months in advance.

That's why I'll just wait for regular 4K Amarays to go on sale for $10 - $15 and swap the discs with the current steelbooks. Since they'll still be G2. Plus, I'll only do this to "necessary" movies (ie - Avatar, DC, Marvel, etc)

Unless you have a 4k TV over 65" there is no point. You cannot see the difference between 1080p and 4k unless you have a huge screen.

This is part of their Gold Label Series and it is world exclusive art which means that the print run is going to be at least a couple of thousand. So there are no worries for not to be able to get a copy. Everybody who wants this in their collection will be able to have it. Hopefully we get this sooner than later.

4k or not, many still prefer 3D + 2D release over 2D only releases even if they don't own a 3D capable gear or don't watch 3D.

So having a 4K disc included is nice to have.

I couldn't agree more. That guy clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. When UHD Blu Ray comes with 4K resolution, extremely high bitrates, has 10 bit color and HDR? Trust me, you'll notice a big difference.

Only if you standing 10 feet in front of the screen at the Television retailer. (Which is what most people do- and they want you to do- so they can make the sale. Once you have it in your home, and you are sitting away from it- you will not see it.) This is solid math from AV experts.
