Hello Ninjas / Steelbookers

I figured this would be a good thread to make to collect Community feedback in which for us to be able to use in the future. A thread to point back to for newcomers that help strengthen what most of us already know as fact in regards to how LONG "sometimes" it can take to receive packages internationally.


So for me personally, I've noticed that most international shipments can take place between 2 weeks (some Countries) to 1 month. Then there are other frequent times that they can take up to 2 months and some rare cases from 2.5 months to 3.

Crazily enough I had a couple that took 4-6 months. Very rare case , only a couple in like 10 years of being in this hobby.


What have been your experiences?

im in UK

UK orders - 1 to 4 days
US orders - 1 week to 3 weeks
Europe - 3 - 6 days
Korea - 1 - 3 weeks
Japan 1 - 3 weeks

With steelbook imports it’s a week to 2 typically, and am aware am quite lucky.
Korean imports would be exactly a week, or depending on time shipped/landed in UK, I’d get it the day after (so shipped Monday, it would arrive the following Mon or the tues latest)

When using say Amazon, it’s ridiculous. I remember waiting 6 weeks for a DVD boxset once.

I’ve only ever imported movies if am honest and weirdly, the more specialised and local, the better.
Amazon, a huge worldwide retailer, suck at shipping internationally (guess they would prefer you use the local store rather than another countries) but Kimchi, Manta, etc all amazing as as far as I know only have a local store, if not online only.


Some retailers need to improve packaging ie Zavvi for steels and amazon sending shoeboxes for a single usb drive. Lol.


Prices can be a joke sometimes, illogically so sometimes.

But overall, for what I import, buy, I have little complaints
Weirdly, I think i’ve had more problems with missing, delayed and damaged items sold on ebay(delays seems commonplace....figured non-business post gets pushed behind high volume business posters)
