The next three star wars will be as good as the last three were.They think going after every director who had a big movie will help them; it won't.Star Wars has never been good to me and them stealing our director won't help that.

If Trek can get itself back together and beat the second Wars movie then i think the tide will change in which property is better.Trek is better, but a lot of people never really experienced it so they chose something easy and dumb to understand like Star Wars.

The short list includes Rupert Wyatt, who directed Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Gambler. According to one source, he is the top prospect for bringing the movie to completion. Morten Tyldum, Daniel Espinosa, Duncon Jones and Justin Lin are also a part of that elite list. The fact most of these directors are in the elite crowd and could present other issues.

Paramount has spoken up about the new Star Trek movie and according to one online source, the production company would like the movie to be more like Guardians of the Galaxy. Some rumors have been floating around that the reason that Orci left the director chair because of the way Paramount wanted the direction of the movie was to go. The company wants the third film to be huge and that could include more of a role from Keenser, like Rocket in the Guardians movie.

It was a thing in the second movie.Ship chases at Warp!

I don't know, something about this move doesn't feel right.I'm glad there will be a third movie, but this feels like a bust.
 
hmmmm not exactly star trek material is he, apart from fast and furious hasn't directed that much of anything worth mentioning here, personally i just wish they hang on and a decent director and stuff 50th anniversary and get this one right rather than scramble for anyone that is available. just seems too rushed imho (n)

It looks like Star Trek Beyond is the title of the third installment in Paramount Pictures' rebooted Trek movie franchise.

According to TrekMovie.com, the name has been registered with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), and their sources have confirmed its legitimacy.

What is pegg thinking with Star Trek: Beyond?I mean, yeah, this is the five year mission, but this title is kinda lame.Into Darkness was kick ass, this falls short.
