I held off buying the Nova version mostly because at the time of that pre-order, it felt like FA was working on this one, as we were voting for which steelbook artwork we wanted. :dunno: (version 2, btw, we want version 2)

FA better deliver a FAC version of Terminator 2, ditto for Terminator 4, so that we have a complete set and not just 1, 3 & 5.

They are in love with Schwarznegger (not just the Terminator movies but we also got FAC editions for Sabotage, The Last Stand, Commando, Expendables, also "Black Baron"'s Terminator slip), so hopefully they won't have forgotten it— I don't think they "waited" for that 3D cash grab, it's more like they were swamped under many projects, and this WEA steelbook got put on the backburner like Minions, Child 44, or Dredd for a long time.

I think it is. More the studio wouldn't let them complete this tell after the 3D release as hdzeta hasn't done there's either. Novamedia maybe working with a different distributer was able to get there's out and that's why they did. Can't wait for this myself and also number 4 as well to have the complete set

That 3D version was annonced on August 29, 2016, and this thread/these 4 steelbook mock-ups (WEA unlike 1, 3 & 5) were posted more than one year earlier, on August 13, 2015. Imo it's more that FA didn't focus on this for 18 months, and now it coincides with the studio trying to make more money off of this film with that 3D thing.

You may be right. Idk when the 3D was announced myself but I do remember voting for one shortly after I joined hdn and that would have been July 2015 when I joined. I also thought I heard about the 3D happening as well but that could have just been speculation and rumors back the. Lol. Well either way it's finally coming to fruition now hopefully by beginning of next year

The 3D version has been announced a while ago.

It's not unreasonable to expect these retailers to wait and include the 3D disc to satisfy a larger number of people. They'd be getting heat if they hadn't included it.

Terminator 2: 3D - James Cameron Q&A
Q&A session with director James Cameron in which he discusses the world premiere of Terminator 2: 3D at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival.

Currently, the new 3D version of Terminator 2: 3D is set to open in theaters across the United States and the United Kingdom on August 25.

He talks about why he want's 3D without the need for 3D glasses for watching 3D in Home on TV's
If this happens then 3D will be a success for home setup compared to watching 3D in cinemas and TV broadcasts in 3D in Homes

....the "Degraining" bit is a bit worrisome. The "degraining" of the Super 35 image of Aliens was not the best. Film IS grain.

I know this is totally off subject and I apologise in advance but seeing James Cameron has made me wanna say I'm seeing Titanic Live tomorrow and I just really had to share my excitement. Dream come true!

Hahaha! No, it's at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The film is shown on a giant screen with a 130 piece orchestra playing the entire soundtrack live.
I've seen articles about those events (you guys are so lucky!) - But on Titanic - SOMEONE is gonna have to sing Celine Deion's song!
Very cool, though. Snap a pic or two from the hip and post 'em!
