Out on May 19th, Batman will be presented in a lovely digi-book case including a 50-page book containing original script pages, sections of the original film book and DC’s comic book adaptation. The Blu-ray disc will contain the movie itself along with a digital copy and the following special features:
- Tim Burton commentary.
- On the Set with Bob Kane.
- Legends of the Dark Knight: The History of Batman.
- The Comic Book Saga over Seven Decades.
- Shadows of the Bat: The Cinematic Saga of the Dark Knight – A documentary spread over three parts.
- Beyond Batman Documentary Gallery.
- Batdance, Partyman and Scandelous music videos.
- Batman: The Complete Robin Storyboard Sequence.
- Heroes and Villans Profile Gallery.
- Theatrical Trailer.
The disc appears to be the same as the one found in the Anthology boxset plus the recent 2-disc DVD edition, however it doesn’t seem to have the DTS mix featured on the DVD. Instead you’ll get a 5.1 TrueHD audio track, 1080p and a widescreen 2.35:1 presentation. Retail price is set at $34.99.
