Well if we didn’t spread enough Denzel news your way this past Wednesday then perhaps the “Serious” release of “Glory” will make you happy. The classic was a winner of three academy awards starring Denzel Washington, Matthew Broderick, & Morgan Freeman. However, if you’re more into comedies then the release of the “Funny” comedy classic Adam Sandler “Waterboy” flick ought to brighten up your day. Comedy classic? Hey, it’s getting there!
“B-B-But he spit in the coooooler!”
The Waterboy comes later in the summer with a July 28th release date where as Glory drops June 2nd. No specs have yet to be released on “The Waterboy” where as “Glory” is already stating to provide the 122-minute version of the film, along with a Virtual Civil War Battlefield Interactive Map, director’s commentary, deleted scenes, The True Story Continues documentary and 2 featurettes “The Voices of Glory” and “The Making of Glory” accompanied with Dolby TrueHD.
The Waterboy – 31-year-old waterboy, Bobby Boucher is constantly tormented by the team he works for until he is fired by the coach. He then finds a new coach to work for. Here he finds a new talent, tackling people by pretending they’re making fun of them. Soon, he becomes the best linebacker in college football, but he must keep it secret from his overprotective mother.
Glory – Based on the letters of Colonel Robert G. Shaw. Shaw was an officer in the Federal Army during the American Civil War who volunteered to lead the first company of black soldiers. Shaw was forced to deal with the prejudices of both the enemy (who had orders to kill commanding officers of blacks), and of his own fellow officers. Written by Murry Chapman
I'll probably get waterboy if it's not too expensive
Well its a disney title, so there's a possibility of a $10 blu mfg coupon to float around closer to release date much like there was with Bolt & Bedtime stories …
Cool. I hope there is. I'll definitely be picking it up then.
