MGM has announced Stargate Atlantis Fan’s Choice to Blu-ray on August 4th. More than 20,000 fans flooded the website www.SGAfanschoice.com to choose their 2 favorite episode to be released on Blu-ray. Aside from the episodes fans uploaded their artwork to be selected by the directors. As mentioned by MGM a couple of months back, they are testing how good Stargate Atlantis can sell on Blu-ray before bringing the entire series to high definition, so if you are a fan of the series support this release and who knows MGM might be bringing the entire series sooner than we think.

The 2 episodes that were chosen are “Rising” and “Enemy At The Gate.” Both episodes will be presented at 1080p MPEG4 AVC with a English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track. The episodes will also include Spanish and French subtitles.
