Criterion has decided to release the 1999 movie “Ride With The Devil” on Blu-ray on April 27th. This movie by director Ang Lee has its setting with the Civil War in the 1800s. It has Tobey Maguire, Skeet Ulrich, Jeffery Wright and pop icon Jewel in the main cast and is based on the novel “Woe to Live On” by Daniel Woodrell.
It is a war drama that depicts the civil war, yet brings out the essence of friendship and love and how these elements get affected by the throes of war.
