Criterion is bringing out its adventure drama movie “Walkabout” on blu-ray on the 18th of May. This 1971 classic directed by Nicolas Roeg is a total work of art and revolves around a boy and his sister lost in the outback of Australia where they meet an aborigine. The movie is gripping with its sense of adventure and the journey that the trio takes through the wilderness.
The disc will feature many specials that will include:

- Gulpilil—One Red Blood (2002), an hour-long documentary on the life and career of actor David Gulpilil
- A booklet featuring an essay by author Paul Ryan
- Video interviews with Agutter and actor Luc Roeg
