During IFA, Sony mentioned that PS3 would soon acquire the ability to playback the Blu-ray 3D format (see September 6th), but no date was given for the firmware update. Now, at the beginning of the Tokyo Game Show, Sony has revealed the firmware update 3.50 that contains the 3D disc playback is in fact coming next week!! Yes, the update will be available to download on September 21st through a system software update.
