When considering major human emotions like hurt and humor or pain and laughter, they surely have a fine line separating them. It can certainly be said that at times the comedy genre might swift a bit away from reality and even become pointlessly irrelevant. Then at the same time such comic films honestly appraise the society of today as well. Yet, there are certain things that cannot be simply made fun of. The 9/11 incident was such a thing, yet ‘Four Lions’ crosses that line, putting a humorous twist to the terrorism.

The major plot of ‘Four Lions’ revolves around four radical Muslims shown in the film as London residents. It is revealed that they want to spark up a religious war by planning a terrorist attack on the capital infidels. Where is the humor you ask? Well, once you get to watch the film, you would come to notice that they are in fact the worst terrorists ever. A good example of that would be when the Group’s leader is kicked out of a terrorist camp when he used the wrong side of a bazooka, blowing the entire camp up. So you surely get a hint of what kind of laughs could be in store from the film.

It’s actually been more than a week since ‘Four Lions’ hit Blu-ray and DVD. This movie is strongly recommended to be purchased. While I’d usually recommend such a movie to be purchased on Blu-ray based merely due to the quality of the film plot, but this one is quite distinct and worth owning.
