MGM Home Entertainment has announced “Platoon” for Blu-ray release on May 24th. The four time Academy Award winner Vietnam War drama has been remastered and will soon make its high definition debut. The film by Oliver Stone is star studded featuring Charlie Sheen, Tom Berenger, Willem Dafoe, John C. McGinley, Forest Whitaker, Kevin Dillon, Keith David and Johnny Depp. Personally, I can’t wait to check it out, but it is also a huge coincidence that Charlie Sheen’s breakout roll is being released now during his current tirades. Oh well, can’t complain. The title will be released in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack. Check below for a list of technical specifications and supplements for the film.
