Filming location news should not really be taken very lightly and now that we have filming location new about ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, admirers of the franchise would surely be at the edge of their seats.

In the earlier Dark Knight film, New York City was portrayed as the famed Gotham City, but director Christopher Nolan decided to do something new and chose Pittsburgh, Penn, as the location for the filming of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. While certainly New York had the metropolis look which Gotham City requires, Pittsburgh, Penn is also a gritty setting which might even be perfectly suitable for the upcoming Dark Knight film.

While surely we cannot describe Pittsburgh as a beautiful city but then again it might not be the beauty of the city that would be required as the filming location for a batman film. In fact, with so many famed villains who would be lurking around Gotham City in this upcoming Dark Knight film, the darker appeal the location would have the more it would be significant. Thus Pittsburgh certainly has that dark vibe to offer, though Christopher Nolan would also have to get through the city officials to actually begin filming there.

Not only is this good news for those living at Pittsburgh, Penn since at some point they might be witnessing the making of the most anticipated batman film ever, but it is even a sign that the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ has reached the filming phase and soon enough we would be watching the film on the big screen.
