Michelle Williams to Be Casted As a Good Witch In the Oz Movie

Quite a while ago Disney already made the announcement that a film based on Wizard of Oz, titled ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’ was in the making and ever since then they been gathering up a suitable to be a part of this film. It was also confirmed that Sam Raimi would be directing the film, while cast already includes James Franco and Mila Kunis. Quite recently, Disney found the good witch for the movie which was an important role that had to be filled. It has now been confirmed that Michelle Williams has been cast for the role of the good witch, Glinda, in the upcoming Oz movie.

The rest of the two witches, as announced by Disney, are to be played by Mila Kunis portraying Theadora, who has a romantic interest in James Franco’s character. Rachel Weisz is also in the talk to star as Evanora, Thedora’s sister, a witch who intends to rule the land while attempting to bring her sister to the dark side.

If Michelle Williams goes ahead with the deal, her character is to be an important part of the film, since she is to be the powerful witch who would be teaming up with James Franco’s character. James Franco’s character as confirmed by Disney would be a snake oil salesman who gets stranded in a magical land, face to face with real magic along with running into real witches.

The cast certainly seems to be diverse from the looks of it and audiences can definitely expect this film to be quite unique.
