Blu-ray Version of the Cult Classic The Stunt Man to be released

Many of us love it when classic films are released on Blu-ray and the 1980s film ‘The Stunt Man’ is no different. Severin Films had already announced last month that the film would be released in June and now they have even detailed the special features of the Blu-ray. The Blu-ray version of the 1980 cult classic directed by Richard Rush is being called the ‘Definitive Edition’ of the film. This Blu-ray version of the film includes a lot of supplementary and additional features, including those which were available on the ‘Limited Edition’ by Anchor Bay. Also included, in the upcoming Blu-ray version of ‘The Stunt Man’ is some footage which was newly produced, and a lot more that audiences might not have watched before.

The film revolves around Steve Railsback’s character who eventually becomes the stunt man, while the cast also includes Peter O’Toole and Barbara Hershey. The plot follows Steve Railsback’s character, a fugitive running from the law, who ends up on a movie set causing the death of the stunt man and takes his place in order to hide out. As the story proceeds, he falls for the leading lady and things begin to get complicated.

As promised, the Blu-ray version of ‘The Stunt Man’ includes a variety of special features, including:

Feature length documentary of the making of the film

June 7th has been confirmed as they date that ‘The Stunt Man’ Blu-ray would hit the shelves and we get to watch this cult classic once again.
