If you are wondering what is all the hype about regarding the latest film Super 8, well you are probably not aware that two powerhouse filmmakers namely producer/film legend Steven Spielberg and director J.J. Abrams collaborated with each other to make this unique Paramount Pictures movie possible.

You cannot expect to see a sequel of this original film but you will definitely be entertained by what is in store. Don’t forget to get your popcorn because this is one sci-fi teen movie that almost everyone will love to watch. If you need more than this to believe that the movie has proven to be a hit then the $37 million gross is proof enough that the film is having a huge success. Till date the film has managed to earn up to $38 million in total which includes the $1 million sales which were made in 325 domestic theatres. What is surprising enough is that the movie which we thought would be lasting at the top of the box office for at least another week could not compete with what ‘Super 8’ has to offer.

Thus, ‘X-Men: First Class’ dropped down to the second position as ‘Super 8’ flew past to the top, and the highly expected marvel movie of this time managed to draw another $25 million this week. The third spot in the box office was taken by ‘The Hangover Part II’ by Warner Bros’.
