Basket Case to be Available on Blu-ray from September 27th

Who does not want to watch some good old cult classic horror films on Blu-ray? Precisely almost all of us or at least those dearly admire horror flicks. Thus, some bone chilling news arrives courtesy of Something Weird Video and Image Entertainment who have confirmed the Blu-ray release of the 1982 cult classic horror film Basket Case by Frank Henenlotter. This Blu-ray version of the original film is expected to include an array of special, new features and 27th September has also been confirmed as the release date.

Basket Case was once tremendously popular on VHS and its midnight theatrical movie screenings enabled the film to earn its reputation within the horror genre while becoming a cult classic. The plot of the film revolves around Duane Bradley portrayed by Kevin Van Hentenryck and Belial, who is his deformed twin. Duane and Belial were once conjoined twins until surgeons separated them and left them for dead. Now Duane carries his twin brother everywhere in a wicker basket as they travel back to New York seeking revenge on the surgeons who had performed the separation.

With a 1:33:1 aspect ratio it is being expected that the presentation of the original 16mm stock film will be replicated by this Blu-ray version. Along with DTS HD Master Audio 5.1, additional special features of the disc include:
