Meet Me In St. Louis to be unveiled on Blu-ray on December 23

The release of Meet Me In St. Louis has been planned by Warner Home Video this winter. The screenplay of the film had been provided by Irving Brecher and Fred F. Finklehoffe, while the film is an adaptation of Sally Bensona series of short stories by Sally Benson. This classic musical film has been directed by Vincente Minnelli, staring Judy Garland, Margaret O’Brien, Mary Astor, Lucille Bremer, Tom Drake and Marjorie Main.

The film revolves around the middle class Smith family and their four daughters, who are living in St. Louis, Missouri during the 1904 World’s Fair. The plot of the film also follows Esther Smith (Judy Garland), the second eldest daughter of the family, who falls in Love with John Truitt (Tom Drake), the boy living next door. The film also portrays the struggle of the entire family, especially Esther, as their father decides to move their from St. Louis to New York City right before1904 St. Louis World’s Fair has started.

The complete technical and supplemental specifications list has for the Blu-ray version of this film has not yet been announced. Rumors are that that Blu-ray disc will be available in book packaging and a variety of bonus features are expected to be included as well, such as:
